Alexa is an AP award-winning and Emmy-nominated journalist currently serving as the Director of Communications for Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.
Prior to transitioning into this new role in her hometown of Tampa, she was an Anchor/Reporter at FOX Carolina in Greenville, South Carolina. She's covered major stories like Hurricane Matthew hitting the South Carolina coast and the Gatlinburg wildfire. She's also covered stories that gained national attention like the death of Billy Graham, the Townville Elementary School shooting and serial killer Todd Kohlhepp.
Alexa started her career in TV news in Macon, Georgia. She was the weekend anchor/producer and a general assignment reporter with a strong focus in government issues and education. She was also the station's state legislature beat reporter.
Alexa graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2014 with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in Spanish language.
